Project Management (Level 5)Info Location Contact More Info Course InformationProject ManagementThe Project Management short course is designed to meet the expectations of a Level 5, 20-credit academic module in addition to the Project Management knowledge, skills, and behaviours that are required in everyday working life. The course will be delivered over 3 full days of learning, in addition to the student’s own time in researching project management and undertaking a small project of their own; there is one assessment expectation related to this course which is a written assignment. There will also be 3 online tutorials/ workshops which will be arranged with tutors and students during sessions.

Learning Outcomes Understand how organisations and projects are structured. Understand procurement, supply and operational management. Analyse the key stages of a project and demonstrate the application of these. Evaluate risk management models & risk versus benefit and present methods of reporting and monitoring risk, including health and safety, and the mitigation of identified risks. Identify key project outcomes, developing and implementing plans to ensure that these are achieved. Select and apply risk management models to projects. Exhibit the effective planning, organisation, and management of identified resources, demonstrating how this contributes to the achievement of project goals. Monitor progress towards the achievement of project outcomes and produce reports that clearly demonstrate this. Initiate, lead, and drive change within a specific area of own organisation, identifying barriers/challenges and presenting strategies to overcome these and demonstrate the successful use of project management tools. Select and apply a risk management model to project, identifying and monitoring risks and actions to mitigate of these.
