Description

Tuesdays 6 - 8.30 pm, six weeks

Indicative maximum class size: 10

Take your 2D and 3D design skills to the next level and build your confidence using CAD programs to enhance your work and CV. 

Aimed at those who have attended a beginners’ class at NTU or elsewhere, or have prior experience in the software through work or studies, this course will further extend your knowledge of CAD.

The course will concentrate on AutoCAD and SolidWorks, with optional Photoshop and Illustrator support if you need it.

On this course, you’ll be introduced to the world of V-Ray rendering and Phoenix Fluid Dynamics to create photorealistic computer generated images and animations.

The new Chaos V-Ray Collection brings together all of Chaos Group's Emmy award winning visualisation programs in one place.

This course uses a combination of Autodesk 3DS Max artwork and animations (V-Ray and Phoenix for 3DS Max), Chaos Scans (HQ materials), and Chaos Cosmos (for instand high quality 3D assets).

It’s aimed at designers who wish to develop their skills and CV whilst adding new visuals to their portfolio.

On this course, you’ll learn how to create stunning renders of 3D CAD models using Keyshot.

It’s ideal for product designers, interior and spatial designers and architects who want to use rendering to create visually impactful shots of their designs when studio photography may be unaffordable or inaccessible.

This course is suitable for anyone who has basic 3D CAD modelling experience.

Model Making for Furniture Design (Saturdays)

Description

Saturdays, 10 am – 4 pm, five weeks

On this course you’ll discover how model making can allow you to explore the potential of a project, helping you to think in 3D and ignite your imagination.

It’s an engaging and creative opportunity to extend your practical skills through a variety of drawing and modelling techniques.

You’ll explore the rich and varied history of furniture design from around the world, practice drawing and model making and examine the construction methods and materials used to inspire designs.

The course is ideal for beginners to the more experienced.
