Visit Geneva, whose neutral status has placed it at the heart of a long list of international organisations including the United Nations and the ICRC. Nottingham Law School (NLS) has a longstanding tradition of offering summer schools in various European cities. For over 15 years, these programs have provided students with the opportunity to engage in intensive, week-long courses taught in English, focusing on specialized areas of law. This program will focus on the International Humanitarian Law, providing an overview of the current Laws of Armed Conflict. It will also consider the role of the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross. Alongside teaching, you will have the opportunity to visit important international organisations and history of one of the most important cities in the International Community. These summer schools are open to all NLS students and are subject to government and university travel policies. They offer a valuable chance to study specialized legal topics in an international setting, enhancing both academic and cultural experiences. Students who require one are responsible for organising their own visa. NTU will provide a letter to support this however, it is each students individual responsibility to apply with sufficient time.
