In Geneva, consider how its neutral status helped it play a central role in developing the Laws of Armed Conflict. Nottingham Law School (NLS) has a longstanding tradition of offering summer schools in various European cities. For over 15 years, these programs have provided students with the opportunity to engage in intensive, week-long courses taught in English, focusing on specialized areas of law. Geneva Summer School This program will focus on the International Humanitarian Law, providing an overview of the current Laws of Armed Conflict. It will also consider the role of the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross. Alongside teaching, you will have the opportunity to visit important international organisations and history of one of the most important cities in the International Community. These summer schools are open to all NLS and Partner School students and are subject to government and university travel policies. They offer a valuable chance to study specialized legal topics in an international setting, enhancing both academic and cultural experiences.
