Kit In A Kase is a innovative electronic teaching tool suitable for use in KS1 through to KS3.

Drug Design and Action – KS3
Target age range: Years 7 – 9.
Length of activity: Approximately 1 hour – 1 1/2 hours.
Learning outcomes: Students will learn why medication and immunisation are required. The different methods of drug delivery will be introduced, as well as the reasons why these are used. Students will also think about what happens to drugs once they are inside the body.
Talk with slideshow: This session is based around an interactive presentation to illustrate how our bodies interact with drugs. Questions such as: ‘How do drugs get into our bodies?’ and ‘Why are different methods used?’ are explored.
Experiment: The hands-on activities give students the opportunity to examine aspects of drug delivery and to experiment with developing a drug to have specific properties.
