ConferencesCARMA Conference FeeDescriptionThe second Current Archaeolgical Research in the Midlands and Abroad (CARMA) Conference. The Current Archaeological Research in the Midlands and Abroad (CARMA) Conference 2026, to be held on 21–22 November at Nottingham Trent University, builds on the success of the inaugural 2025 event, which brought together academics, professional archaeologists, and students for two days of presentations, posters, and workshops spanning East Midlands research and international case studies, including projects in Egypt. The second iteration will continue to provide a dynamic platform for disseminating cutting-edge archaeological research, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and strengthening connections between regional and global archaeological communities. It will showcase innovative scientific methodologies, comparative international perspectives, and community-engaged projects, while offering valuable professional development and networking opportunities for students and early-career researchers. In line with NTU’s strategic priorities, the conference will promote knowledge exchange, global partnership, and sustainable, ethical archaeological practice, further establishing CARMA as a key annual forum for advancing archaeological scholarship and public engagement in the Midlands and beyond.
