Description

Full payment for sandwich course students who have not secured a placement for 2026/27.

The UK Field Course to Pembroke, Wales, will focus on marine and coastal ecology. The trip will run from Monday 5th October 2026 to Monday 12th October 2026, departing from Brackenhurst. During the course, we’ll be staying at FSC Dale Fort (http://www.field-studies-council.org/centres/dale-fort.aspx).

The University covers 80% of the total cost of the trip, with students contributing the remaining 20% (£137.62) towards travel and accommodation.

This payment option is for sandwich course students who have not secured a placement for 2026/27. A full, non-refundable payment of £137.62 is required by Friday 14th August to secure your place on the field course.

 

Detailed Description

This module is an intensive field-based course which puts into practice, and builds on, knowledge and learning from years 1 and 2 and applies these to marine and coastal ecosystems.

The aim of this module is to introduce you to the floral and faunal biodiversity, function and conservation of these ecosystems through critical application of a range of sampling and experimental techniques used in field ecology.
