This course is suitable for anyone who wants to develop their Adobe Photoshop skills beyond a beginners level.

Course Description

The skills developed on this course can be applied to both artistic pursuits and job skills.

It includes using channels to refine edges and working with alpha channels and masks. You'll explore the brush tool, creating custom brushes and applying brush dynamics to get realistic results from painting. You'll also improve your understanding of adjustment layers like curves, brightness and contrast, clipping and working non-destructively, blend modes, and using these to combine images with multiply and overlay.

On this course you will:

  • generate ideas for creative projects
  • explore your own creativity
  • use group discussion as well as 1-2-1 tutorials to explore the software
  • gain a deeper understanding of these processes through practical activities.

What will you gain?

By the end of this course you'll have added depth to your understanding of Photoshop and gained a deeper knowledge of advanced technical and creative outputs.

Tutor Profile: Ellie Howitt is an experienced graphic designer and visual artist with a focus on teaching technical and creative processes. She has serval years of teaching experience and has been awarded Outstanding in a recent Ofsted inspection.

In addition Ellie also does freelance projects producing various design solutions for clients including print and digital media, as well as working on her own creative digital art projects.
