The fashion industry is highly competitive, with thousands of graduates entering each year. As a fashion professional, new or more experienced, you not only need to keep your portfolio up-to-date but you also need to ensure your work is presented in a contemporary, exciting and creative way that is appropriate to your expertise.

Course Description

This course is ideal if you have a basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and are looking for guidance and inspiration in updating your portfolio. Whether you’d like to make sure your portfolio is interview ready, or you’re struggling to get past the interview stage and are not sure why, this course will help.

On this course you will:

  • develop your skills using Adobe Creative Suite software
  • have the option to create your own brief based on your needs
  • focus on presentation techniques, personal style and branding.

 There will be software demonstrations, examples of industry portfolios, one-to-one support and also peer presentations and feedback sessions.

What will I gain?

By the end of the course you will have the beginnings of an industry-appropriate portfolio that’s both relevant and representative of your skills. You will also have learnt new presentation techniques and software functions to ensure you can continue to work at a high standard.

Tutor Profile: Erica Horne is an experienced designer and CAD lecturer, highly skilled in the use of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for the fashion industry. Whilst working as a designer for the last six years, she has produced CAD work for many well-known high street retailers. She now runs CAD for Fashion - offering training, tuition as well as design and CAD services for designer labels.
