Course Description

On this course you’ll learn how to research and write magazine features, including the use of pictures, colour and headlines. You will learn how to interview effectively and write in different styles for different markets.

You’ll also be given an understanding of the magazine industry, and learn how you can make your mark.

On this course you will:

  • gain an understanding of the magazine industry
  • develop an appreciation of the different styles of writing that editors are looking for
  • learn the skills to write exciting magazine features that will stand out from the crowd.

What will I gain?

After studying this course you should be able to:

  • demonstrate a basic knowledge and application of the practical skills relevant to magazine journalism
  • plan, design and execute research in a range of areas that demonstrates basic knowledge of magazine journalism
  • work effectively and collaboratively in a team
  • demonstrate proficiency in finding, evaluating and managing information.
