Project Cost payments for NTU students that have been accepted to volunteer abroad with the Rosie May Home, Sri Lanka, 

Dates: 16th June – 12th July 2017 

The Project Costs: £1,300

The Rosie May Home offers an opportunity to get involved in a charity managed from Nottinghamshire, but running a children’s home in Sri Lanka aiming to empower girls through education.

Volunteer Roles:
• Facilitating English language development through volunteer led activities
• Sharing your skills in the home and classroom (for example, playing guitar, sports
coaching, singing, sharing IT skills, drama lessons etc.)
• Sports, arts and IT skills while working in the Rosie May Home under the supervision
of local staff, the preschool and local school.

This includes:
• Return flights to Sri Lanka
• Airport transfers in the UK & Sri Lanka
• Accommodation (7 days a week) and food (5 days a week)
• Travel Insurance
• NTU volunteering t-shirt & hoody

What isn’t included:
• Personal spending money, daily travel & weekend food £300
• Visa £20
• Vaccination
• Optional: 4 day mini adventure tour at the end of your trip  £200 (TBC)
